In 1903 a series of 16
paintings were commissioned
to advertise cigars. 9 of these
masterpieces featured dogs
playing poker. The artist:
Cassius Coolidge. The result:
brilliance. Nothing says "high
brow" like a wall hanging of
Dogs Playing Poker. The
Matador Lounge features the
popular "A Friend in Need."
